Event Log Explorer provides powerful tools to help you understand complex event logs by integrating with popular search engines and Artificial Intelligence.
Using Search Engines (Google and Bing)
If you need to find more information about a specific event online, you can quickly search for it using Google or Bing directly from the application.
To search for an event:
Select the desired event from the event list.
Go to the Event menu in the main menu bar.
Select Google event or Bing event.
Your default web browser will open with a search query specifically tailored to that event’s ID and source.
AI Integration (Microsoft Copilot)
Event Log Explorer is integrated with Microsoft Copilot, allowing you to use Large Language Models (LLM) to analyze event details and find troubleshooting steps.
To consult the AI about an event:
Select the event in the list.
Select Event->AI from the main menu, or simply click on the toolbar.
An internal browser window will open, and the program will automatically generate a detailed prompt based on the event data.
This prompt is sent to the AI, which will provide an explanation and potential solutions.
Interactive Chat and Predefined Prompts
After the initial response, you can continue to interact with the AI:
• Manual Prompts: Type your own questions or follow-up instructions directly into the chat.
• Predefined Prompts: Use the ready-to-use prompts provided by Event Log Explorer to perform common tasks, such as "What does this event mean", "How to fix this error" or provide details from the event description.
